Our Mission
The CBEGWG is an organizational unit whose purpose is
1) to focus on issues pertinent to female affiliates of the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
2) to encourage young girls to enter engineering through outreach

We are pleased to annouce that the WOMEN group is now soliciting applications for the Lisa Walker Travel Award, which funds travel for unique professional development opportunities that would not already be funded through your lab, such as visiting a collaborator's lab, attending a class to gain a new skill, or presenting at a specialty conference. December 6, 2010Two CBE Grad Women Win Austin Hooey Research Awards. Congratulations to Rebecca Cantrell and Jeisa Pelet for excellence in research!

Rebecca Cantrell, a fifth year MS/Ph.D. student working with Professor Clancy, works on simulations of the C60-Pentacene heterojunction interface for photovoltaic applications.

Jeisa Pelet, a fifth year MS/Ph.D. student working with Professor Putnam, works on combinatorial libraries of bi-functional polymeric vectors for siRNA delivery.
CBE Women Graduates Win NSF Fellowships. Congratulations to our NSF IGERT and NSF Graduate Fellowship winners!

Alexandra Cooper, a second year MS/Ph.D. student working with Professor Clancy, has won a very competitive three-year National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship.

Jennifer Nugent, MS/Ph.D., working with Professor Archer, has won an NSF Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) Fellowship in Sustainable Materials.
